Commencing A Year of Generative Art

Like the Emperor’s Robes (2021)

Dear Friends,

I have not forgotten about you!

Actually, quite the opposite…

I am really, REALLY excited to announce that I am making a move to (drum roll please..)

dedicating the next year to generative art full-time.

I am leaving my current post as a data scientist from an amazing company (Kythera Labs) to write and embody generative art.

It will be an opportunity to identify and document the gaps in generative art history, help unlock an audience to the amazing work out there and contribute to the field.

It’s an experiment, a self-directed study of this phenomenon, a leap into the abyss but one I can’t seem to leave alone.

So I’ll be able to bring interesting content regularly with more frequency.

AND…

I want to pick up the discussions with generative artists, collectors, critics, and others that help define this story currently being written in the form of video and audio. (So if you are interested, please email me.)

So, where does it all lead?

Well, in the words of Robert Frost:

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

I can only see to the bend, but I think that there are some fascinating twists and turns past the bend!
